RCCG Open Heavens Daily Devotional, Sunday, 19th January, 2014: HOLINESS & VICTORIOUS LIVING By Pastor E. A. Adeboye

RCCG Open Heavens Daily Devotional, Sunday, 19th January, 2014

TOPIC:
HOLINESS & VICTORIOUS  LIVING

Memorize:
“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. “ Proverbs 28:1

Read:
Daniel 6:19-22

Bible in one year:
Colossians 1-4, Psalm 19:1-6

MESSAGE:
Once you are living a holy life, it's going to be well with you. You will be able to hide under the shadow of the Almighty God. No harm will come near you because the Almighty God will cover you with His wings according to Psalm 91 :4-11. However, when you go into sin, you will be running when nobody' is chasing you. Brethren, you have nothing to fear except sin. If you do not live in sin, I can assure you that God will treat you as a loving father will treat his child. Isaiah 3:10 says:
"Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”
However verse 11 of the same chapter says:
"Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”
When you are living a life of holiness, you have angels as your bodyguard. They will go with you anywhere you go. They will see danger miles ahead and ward it off on your behalf. Your security is in the Name of the Lord (Proverbs 18:10).

If you are living a life of trust in God and holiness, you will stand and will not be afraid (Psalm 125:1-3). Nothing can move you. Nothing happens in life without God's permission. You cannot even eat an orange without God's enablement. The devil cannot do anything unless God allows it. Only when He abandons you as a result of you refusing to repent of our sins can demons come near you. You can be assured, therefore that your victory is sure because God is not going to allow the wicked to come near you, so that you will not be discouraged. In the story of Daniel, when he was thrown into the lion's den, he made a statement worthy of note. He said:
"My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” Daniel 6:22
Those who are living holy do not need to be afraid of anything or anybody that represents the devouring lion of this word. My prayer for you is that God will give you the ability to live in holiness and that your life will be full of testimonies of victory over all principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world in Jesus' Name.

Action point:
Check your life and find out whether there are things you are doing which are fostering demonic oppression, and stop doing them as from today.
